The local school sings “O Christmas Tree” in Nuu-chah-nulth, the language of the West Coast peoples. The kids were wearing vests with a Nuu-chah-nulth crest on the back, and at first I wondered how they could have every kid wear the same crest, since crests belong to certain families. Then I realized it was a slug … a brand-new crest that everyone can wear.
17.3.2013 - so i got up at night and totally did´nt expect to see the Aurora in Ucluelet, but there it was!!
